Later@ – After-School provision
Our Later@ after school club is like a home from home. Children enjoy some snacks then choose from a range of fun, creative activities. Children are given the opportunity to complete their homework and reading before going home, to help working families get the most from the time they have with their children at home. Some activities often on offer include: cooking, pedal go-karts, smoothie making, art, sports, computing, lego, films, bbqs and many more.
Session Times
The after school provision is open from the end of the school day to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday throughout the school term (excluding bank holidays and training days). You can collect your child at any point during the session, but the full session charge will apply regardless of collection time.
Fees
£6 per child per day
Late collection charges will apply if pick-up is after the booked time. For late collections up to 5.30pm the charge will be £5 per child and for late collections after 5.30pm the charge will be £20 per child as additional security and staff costs will be incurred by the club.
We may be able to accept a range of childcare voucher schemes to help with your fees. Please speak with the school office if this is of interest to you.
Fees are payable in advance and can be paid by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to ‘Venture MAT’.
Please note that, regrettably, we cannot give refunds for absence or sickness once sessions have been booked.
Fees will be reviewed annually and parents will be informed a month in advance of any changes.
The provision is open to pupils who attend Trevithick Learning Academy in years reception – year 6. Admissions are based on a first come first served basis. You and your child are welcome to view – appointments can be made by contacting the school on 01209 713460.
All children attending after school club will be collected from their classrooms by a member of the team. At the end of the session children can only be collected by adults who are known to our staff. If it is necessary for someone else to collect your child, we respectfully request that you introduce them to us prior to the collection and provide written permission from yourself as parent/guardian. The person collecting the child may be asked for identification.
Bookings
For registration and booking forms please see the school office. Bookings should be made at least 1 week in advance. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis as numbers are limited. Please feel free to book further in advance if you are able to. If, from time to time, you need to book at short notice, please telephone the school as we may be able to accommodate your request.
Breakfast Bar
Our Breakfast Bar is open from 7.45am until 8.45am every school day. We offer a varied, healthy breakfast including cereal, toast & a variety of fruit juices. Children can be dropped off anytime between 7.45 and the start of the school day for just £3 per child. Please ring the bell at the main reception to be greeted by one of our Breakfast Bar staff. After breakfast children can join in fun sporting activities, play games or just chill with their friends.
